Stephanie is an industry leader with over 25 years of biotech and biopharma experience. Her mission is to advocate for policies to grow the L.A. life sciences industry, to pull in more investment and grant funding, and to match local bioscience companies with investors and other funding sources. Most recently, she was the president and chief executive officer of Meditope Biosciences, Inc., an early-stage biotechnology company based in Pasadena. Previously, Ms. Hsieh held numerous senior management roles, leading cross-functional teams to develop and execute business and new product strategies built heavily upon the intersection of the patent laws and regulatory landscape. She began her career as a patent litigator, where she represented a wide range of clients from Fortune 50 companies to biotech startups to major academic institutions. Ms. Hsieh holds a B.A. in Biological Chemistry from Wellesley College, a J.D. from Columbia Law School and an MBA from Stanford’s Graduate School of Business.
